Contributors, Contractors and Cooperating Partners

In addition to cooperating with contributing cities and Difu advisory boards, the institute maintains an array of contacts and is actively engaged in intellectual exchange with a diverse range of institutions in Germany and abroad.

Moreover, Difu oversees projects on behalf of numerous different contractors, including federal and Länder ministries, cities, associations, foundations and the European Union.

Among other partners, the institute works particularly closely with the German Association of Towns and Cities (Deutscher Städtetag, DST), the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (Bundesministerium für Verkehr und digitale Infrastruktur, BMVI), the Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development (Bundesinstitut für Bau-, Stadt- und Raumforschung, BBSR) and the Berlin Senate.
